A letter arrived in the mail arrived from the credit card company asking if I wanted to raise my limit. In the past they’ve been marginal increases $200, $400 this letter asked if I wanted to raise from $1,200 to $3,000. Going through all the fine print I noticed that minimum monthly repayments increase from $20 to $56 a month. Repayments are not an issue since I repay the full balance when the bill comes.
Now should I even begin entertaining the idea of increasing my limit? No. I think I’ll leave it as it is for now.
Good to see the rains are coming, ma, pa.
Bad to see the council wasting all the water.
Looking out of my office the other day I saw a Melbourne City Council water tank truck filling up with water from the hydrant. I suppose it would be for watering plants around the Royal Park area.
My concern was how much water was actually leaking from the dodgy hydrant connection and leaky hose. That truck accessed the hydrant 8 times in one day so you can imagine how many thousands of litres of water were lost. Now extend that to the number of trucks that could be out the road on any given day and you have a small issue.
Considering how much the City of Melbourne goes on about the importance of water conservation, I think that the Council should be held accountable for their hiporcacy and Melbourne water should introduce restrictions for hydrant water access during the day for non-emergency usage.
Ok so here is the problem: Since we’ve installed the new screen in the lounge we’ve decided to use some of the money from the FNT stock portfolio (T3 shares of cause) to purchase a new video projector.
Initally we had it narrowed down to one model a Missingbatshit HD900, a projector capable of widescreen, HD, and all those other nice things. Got a call from the reseller stating that the model had been discontinued and that it was impossible to get them anywhere.
We’ve done a bit more shopping and found three models: Benq W100, Benq PE7700, and an Optoma HD70. Both the Benq PE7700 and Optoma HD 70 are at the same price ($1999) the Benq W100 is being offered at $1099 which would mean that there would still be suffcient cash in the pot for a learning remote control, and wall brackets for the speakers.
Essentially the projector would be used for gaming and dvd watching in a fully darkened home theatre. HD is non essential as we intend on purchasing a HDTV in the near future.
So if anyone in interweb land (possibly AndyB?) can shead some light on what I should get it would be appreciated.
Hmmm… Don’t know if its just me. But for whatever reason ‘New’ Blogger much like ‘New’ Coke seems to leave a weird taste. I’ve noticed since that last entry that a few entries have now got slightly strange formatting.
Hopefully it’s just passing or another reason to more quickly over to Wordpress.
Bah! I like my content Australian kthx.
The Seven network have gone all out to whore their new imported television programs. While channel Ten is the undisputed of champion of when it comes to importing television shows (Big Bogan, Australian Idle, Bald and the Beautiful, House, etc) Seven seems to be playing catchup.
Now considering that Seven has always positioned itself as the 100% Australian network with programs such as Blue Healers, All Saints, A Country Practice, Home and Away, I find it strange that they are reducing their investment in Australian content to almost nil.
There is little doubt that there is alot of garbage on our televisions, once again the main offender is the Ten network. Hopefully someone will pick up the slack and and bring out a good Australian drama or comedy? Maybe? Plz>
I just accidentally ate a dog biscuit while searching around in the dark for some food I dropped.
Are they lethal?
Carrots?.. No…
Peas?.. No…
Cabbage?.. That makes me fart…
I think that was the last bit of conversation that took place before Channel Ten’s late countdown to 2007 began. Interesting to note that the Melbourne fireworks were on Channel Nine and without the usual Nine fanfare
Anyway, the Channel Ten coverage was about as exciting as watching your drunken neighbour piss on the side of your house from their roof while your dad throws firecrackers at passing cars at 2 in the morning.
